When I was engaged in 2009, I knew immediately that I wanted to sew my own wedding dress. The process of selecting the colors I wanted and designing a pattern fit exactly to my measurements eased so many frustrations other brides feel in the moments leading up to their big day. Plunging necklines, revealing fabrics, no sleeves, exposed backs, improper fitting? I didn’t want to settle for less, so I decided to do something about it. In 2019, I founded this company to bring together the dream we, as modest women, have all been dreaming. I believe that one day, Jamillah Bridal will become a place where every client will be treated like royalty; a place where they will never hear the word ‘no’ and fall in love with becoming a bride. The vision I have for my company is to fulfill the dream of seeing brides of every age, shape or size experience all the joy and celebration of saying ‘yes’ to a dress they imagined, while staying true to their faith and culture.
